“There will be blossoms here which will bear good fruit.”
Francis Balázs was the great innovator of the pre-World War II generation of Transylvanian ministers. Balázs was educated at the Unitarian seminary in Berkeley (now Starr King) and assisted by his American wife whom he met in Berkeley. He gave his life to his conviction that cooperative economic development could save Transylvanian villages and thus help revitalize the Unitarian church. In a way, Project Harvest Hope and the Unitarian Kaláka initiative are a living memorial to the dedication and international partnership of Francis and Christine Balázs.
Your support enables us to continue our efforts to help empower village life in Transylvania. We are a 100% volunteer organization. Your contributions are entirely dedicated to our projects in Transylvania, and we are grateful.
Project Harvest Hope is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization: EIN 94‑3355574
